ESO-Angels Award Program and SITS-QR

We have received a question from several users about participation in the ESO-Angels Award Program and SITS-QR. The question was if one has to register all stroke patients in a centre, and the answer is Yes.

Centres that participate in the ESO-Angels Award Program and use SITS-QR, have to

register all types of stroke patients (ischaemic and haemorrhagic, with or without any acute intervention such as IV Thrombolysis and or Thrombectomy) consecutively for a period of at least one month (e.g. all stroke patients admitted to your hospital in November 2017), and a minimum of 30 patients.

Please note, if you would only register patients who received IV Thrombolysis and or Thrombectomy, it will not be possible to calculate a proper recanalisation rate for your centre which is one of the parameters used in the award criteria.
